Was an awesome morning of fishing South Padre Island! We had storms in the forecast but just needed a window! We got there just on time for the window to open up.
As we arrived a small cell storm was pushing offshore and as we made it to the island it cleared up and we pulled into our secret spot where we launched my kayak ,headed to my honey hole, and ended up with a trout limit, one short of the redfish limit!
3 hours worth of grinding and a good stringer full of fish was on its way back to the kayak launch.
The clouds started rolling in and we got off the water just on time before a huge squall came crushing down!
Trout caught using live shrimp from a local bait and tackle shop "Brownsville Bait and Tackle" to be exact! Redfish was caught using a bone colored wake bait from a local angler that makes and sells some of his custom hard baits like top waters and wake baits by the name of " J-Lo Custom Lures " out of Edinburg Tx..find them on Facebook or direct

Greatest day on the water this year for me was this trip! It was just me, my kayak ,and some of mother nature's finest! Can't thank the lord enough for this trip! Stay blessed and hooked... the addiction is reel!!
