Sharks for summer

I wanna get into serious shark fishing. I’ve been doing research on rod set ups. I have got a couple small black tips at the Galveston fishing pier. And about a month ago I caught a really big cow nose ray which I chose to harvest for bait. I heard it’s the best for big sharks.

This was the first time I’ve ever got one. I got it at the dike when I was trying for the red fish. That was the hardest fighting fish I’ve caught to date. When I landed it I got the barb with my pliers and cut it under it came right off.

Had you seen how to cut the barb somewhere before? Pretty cool.

Next one you catch, when it's hard to bring in , it's trying to bury back in sand, pull as tight as you can and strum your fishing line like guitar string, the vibration makes them turn loose of sand, reel and repeat. They'll come in , sounds stupid but it works. Lol

Very very interesting my dad used to tell me to do that when I thought it was a stingray. I totally remember him saying and showing me how when I was little.
