Hey guys I'm new here and to the channel but how's the fishing been for y'all around Port lavaca for trout and reds been kinda slow for me

Hey hey there Welcome to the forums! So last weekend we did some day fishing in Port Lavaca with no luck on trout or reds but then we went to Palacios for some night fishing under lights and they were bitting on cut bait fishing on the bottom. We were throwing lures and caught sand trout on lures but the people next to us caught about 20 specs fishing that cut bait on the bottom with a drop rig.

Thanks for the info but been throwing plastic for specs and reds but no luck I'm thinking maybe the weather gots them a little freaked out right now but maybe they will move in soon

Yeah they're going to be on the bottom with the weather fluctuating usually hang around pockets
