Whose going fishing this weekend?

I’m planning on taking the kayak out Saturday morning. I’m not sure where yet, but I’m thinking the kayak launch on the bayside of surfside.

It was a windy day for the kayak but fun! A small red drum and a few puppy black drum. No keepers though.
We did get a sting ray that put up the biggest fight of the day. But I just cut the line on him. I wasn’t messing around with that in the kayak.

I did check out this spot before heading home and it was easy to drive to and looks like a good place for night fishing with lights.
Anyone ever try this spot next to the boat ramp?

I could not even imagine dealing with a stingray in a kayak. Good idea to cut that line.

Looks like water color changes right there at that spot. Since it is easy to drive to and setup lights maybe we can plan to hit it up one night. We got the lights on the van now and plenty of battery power.
