Texas city dike tonight and I’m curious about these green lights now.

I’m planning on hitting the dike for a few hours tonight. Y’all got me curious about the lights now too.
I’m gonna try to put my green lights out separate from my spot light and see what happens.
I’m also wondering if I can just put a green filter on my spotlight too. I might try to diy something.

Join if you want. I’m usually around the 4 mile marker.

I could see the trout in the spotlight. I never saw any trout come up or chase shad in the green light. I had one good take in the green light but everything else on the edge or hotspot of the spotlight.

sand trout were hitting live shrimp on the popping cork, but my son was struggling to get them in. I was trying the eagle claw octopus hook. But I think we’re going back to a treble after how many spit the hook on him.

specs were not hitting anything. Only caught 3 small ones even though they were there. I could see them surface and hear them snap. But they didnt want to commit to anything I tried.
The biggest one was 14in and I think was a reaction strike on a small purple paddle tail that I was working hard and fast.
Brown gulp shrimp didn’t work. Brown and chartreuse shrimp tail didn’t work. Purple and silver flake hogie didn’t work. Guy next to me was trying a black and silver Storm paddle tail and that wasn’t working.
It was driving me crazy trying to get these big trout that I see chasing shad and popping the surface to bite.
But overall I had a blast for a quick week night!! Chasing fish is more fun than just thinking about chasing them!
