Palacios Pier fishing for Sand Trout

We headed to Palacios Pier for some night fishing with @LarryBoy which was so fun.

He dialed us in on the Down South lures and the trout eye jig heads by Z-man.

Ended up leaving late and getting back to Houston at midnight. What a fun day!

Had a great time fishing and learning a lot from @LarryBoy . I’m so new to this that I have so much learn I don't really understand what weight jighead to use for the water or how to actually retrieve the lure when to use hard plastic vs soft. Its alot to learn but little by little i'm understanding more.

Palacios is a great spot for night fishing. I haven’t been in maybe 15-20 yrs. When I used to go for summer camp in high school. We would stay up fishing all night. That place has some great “in the old days” memories for me and these videos down there really make me want to make the drive down for a weekend.
