Hotshot trucker

Hey guys,

Just found you on YouTube and am enjoying the content.

I'm a hotshot trucker and am curious to know if there would be a spot for me to fish and camp with my 40' gooseneck trailer after I make my deliveries. I will be bringing my 16 year old son with me this summer for some saltwater fishing.

Keep up the good work with the videos and hope I get some good recommendations for some great fishing spots.

Hey there!

Ever since I was a kid, my family would take us down to Goose Island State Park, and it’s still one of the best places to camp and fish on the Texas coast. They have plenty of spots for big trailers like yours — full hookups, tons of space — and a great setup right on the water.

There’s a lot to do: fishing from the pier, hiking trails, and even if you forgot gear, the park will loan you rods and tackle. Plus, a cool bonus — you don't need a fishing license to fish inside any Texas state park.

Rockport (the nearby town) is still rebuilding here and there from Hurricane Harvey, but there’s always something going on during the weekends — art galleries, a little aquarium, great seafood, and a real small-town coastal vibe that’s easy to enjoy.

It sounds like an awesome trip with your son — Goose Island would be a perfect spot for you both!
