Best time of the year for Bull Reds?

I have never caught a bull red so I am very curious too. One of the youtubers I follow GG Anglers does a ton of bull red fishing. I believe the main two things are a good 10ft surf rod and the leaders with the spider weights.
 
And the best bait is crab. The best time to fish really is all year round if they are hungry you will catch them. I use a11ft heavy surf rod. But have caught them them on a 7 ft heavy med rod with a abu Garcia’s 3000 bait caster
